Biology 115 Final: 9 May 2000
General Instructions:
- This is a 120-minute exam worth 60 points, so you need to earn one
point every two minutes. By contrast, the quizzes were 25-minute evaluations
worth ten points and the midterm was a 75-minute evaluation worth 30 points,
so each point was earned in 2.5 minutes. Thus you need to work about 1.25
times as fast as you did on the quizzes and midterm, assuming you spent
the entire 25 minutes on the evaluation. But most of you finished the quizzes
five minutes early or better, so it shouldn't be all that difficult to
accomplish that.
- You will be allowed to bring a note-sheet with you to the exam. The
note-sheet should be either one sheet of 8.5x11" paper with writing
on both sides or two sheets of 8.5x11" paper with writing on one side.
No other notes or books will be allowed. The purpose of the note sheet
is to provide a place to keep definitions or mnemonics handy so you don't
have to memorize everything. Creating it will also help you to focus your
studying between now and Tuesday.
- Material will be drawn from the entire course, with about 60% drawn
from the second half, i.e. since the midterm.
