As academic scientists at IIT, CSRRI faculty are firmly committed to the educational mission of the CSRRI.

Current activities:

CSRRI faculty are organizing and operating the American Crystallography Association (ACA) Summer School in Macromolecular Crystallography (http://acaschool.iit.edu) (July10-22, 2006). This is an intensive course in theory of practice of macromolecular crystallography taken by people from all over the country.

CSRRI faculty are also on the steering committee of the FiberNet project (http://fibernet.vanderbilt.edu/), a NSF funded Research Coordination Network for the development of fiber diffraction techniques. CSRRI faculty are among the organizers and participants in the upcoming FiberNet Fiber Diffraction workshop (August 6-9, 2006), Fall Creek Falls State Park, Tennessee (Co-sponsored by BioCAT and FiberNet). This will consist of a series of talks and tutorials on fiber diffraction techniques by an international group of lecturers.
