Report on Membership of the University Faculty Council

In general, terms on the Faculty Council run for three years. New members begin their terms in August of each academic year. The launching of the new University Faculty Council in 2005 necessitated a slight readjustment of term dates, but for the most part we are, in fact, replacing roughly one-third of the membership each year. In August 2007 the following UniFC members' terms will expire:

Last week I emailed the chairs of those six academic units, with copies to the members from that unit. In those emails I asked for consideration of replacements or reappointments in time for the May UniFC meeting. The responses I have received so far are:

I have not received replies from Architecture, BCPS, or CS.

The Student Government Association has appointed its representative to the UniFC. She is Caitlin Hubbard, a BCPS freshman.
